Biography:
The duo, formed in 1998, has performed at the Festival of Music and Dance in Granada, the Belef Festival in Belgrade and Kragujevac (Serbia-Montenegro), Cervantes Institutes, Tianjin International Accordion Festival (China), International Festival of Music in Kokkola (Finland), Royal Academy of Music in London, CSIC Researchers’ Residence-Autonomous Government of Catalonia, the ContemporaneaMente Festival in Lodi (Italy), San Sebastián Musical Fortnight, FOLEFEST Festival 2008; in Castelo Branco (Portugal) as well as in numerous halls in Spain, the National Auditorium, Auditori de Catalunya, the Guggenheim Museum or La Pedrera in Barcelona. They plan to perform soon at the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Conservatory of Music in Peking, the Staatsoper in Stuttgart; Venice Biennial; Royal Theatre in Madrid; the Gewandhaus in Leipzig; the Staatsoper in Berlin and the Contemporary Music Festival in Monterrey (Mexico).
They currently have the CD “Collection Nº 8” on the Juventudes Musicales de España label to their credit, recorded after they both won First prize in the Spanish Young Performers Permanent Competition (Valladolid 1996).
They actively work with composers as important as Stockhausen, De Pablo, Sardà, Torres or Guinjoan to help to disseminate and expand the repertoire for accordion duos.
