To celebrate the International Museum Day on Sunday 21st May, Chillida-Leku Museum will take up the ICOM proposal of “Museums and young publics” with a day principally dedicated to youngsters.
As in previous years, a number of activities will be organised to help participants enjoy the different artistic disciplines. The TXOKOLARTE Group, dedicated for years to activities aimed at the younger amongst us, will collaborate in the endeavour. The proposed activities include: Grabatudantza (choreographic sequences performed by different dancers to breakdance, funky and classic rhythms) and workshops, one of which will be entitled Paisajes Horizontales (each participant can use linoleum to stamp his or her ideas on paper or t-shirts handed out by the museum) and the other Estencil (a special area set aside for the creation of murals or graffiti on which youngsters either by themselves or in groups can freely express their art).
