Improvised music and the "song" format have always been closely linked in Iñaki Salvador’s musical career. Not just because he has frequently worked on accompanying and orchestrating music by emblematic singer-songwriters (Laboa, Imanol, Aute and a long list of others...) but also because he has tended to fuse together two worlds that have followed parallel emotional and musical paths on certain occasions and have had fruitful encounters on others.

As a result he is offering something new here, because he is using fresh material (not only in the repertoire, as this is the first time that he is tackling these songs or most of them, but also as far as the musicians who are collaborating with him on this venture are concerned, as they have joined him recently), but it doesn’t involve any kind of break in the sense that it provides him with a continued opportunity to fuse together two of his great musical passions: jazz and singer-songwriters.
