EZUSTEKOA, life is something unexpected, is an original piece of choreography by Mikel Arístegui
 
Eduardo Chillida was, through his work and words, a tireless champion of peace, justice and fraternity. This is why the Chillida-Leku museum wanted to invite Mikel Arístegui to perform this dance that talks about peace and harmony, at Zabalaga.
It was the 25th of October 1936. Julián Arístegui didn’t come back home. These were tough times that now seem far-off. His son Jose Mari and his grandson Mikel think that, 70 years later, it is possible to recall this situation without forgetting the selfless attitude of Maria Encarnación Isasa who kept this to herself, like so many other women. 

 We will see a dance-theatre solo performed by father and son, whose aim is to recover the memory of what happened, without wallowing in the dark side of their suffering. It humbly aims with great respect, to pay tribute to the memory of one family in particular and at the same time to all those who need to recover their memories in order to heal their wounds.
 
We will see how the son searches for his father’s embrace while at the same time establishing a dialogue with sculptures like “monument to tolerance”.
Hopefully all this will help to heal wounds and soothe bitterness.
