The exhibition by the Arte Viva Foundation, “Iustitia. Justice in the arts,” that the Second Vice-presidency and Ministry of the Interior of the Autonomous Community of Madrid is staging, provides an idea of how the concept of justice has changed throughout history.
This exhibition brings together for the first time more than 100 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, emblems and coins from all periods whose main theme is justice.
Works by artists as important as Rubens, Goya, Sorolla, or Chillida (“The Law” silk-screen print) will be on display until the 20th of May at the Carlos Amberes Foundation in Madrid.
To complement the exhibition, various educational activities are being offered aimed at children, families, and the general public. The education programmes organised by the Arte Viva Europa Foundation use art and education as a tool for social change and integration.
