Enrolment for the summer workshop has opened.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the placing of the Wind Comb in the city of San Sebastián on the 6thn 7th and 8th of August, children will be able to put a process of artistic creation into practice by preparing a sculpture project in the museum area.
This entertaining and participative workshop allows them to get a closer view of Eduardo Chillida’s work and figure through his relationship with the urban space. This activity will develop the participants’ perception and creativity, convey values based on respecting and caring for public art and encourage critical thinking and teamwork.

DETAILED PROGRAMME
1st day (6th of August, from 16:00 to 19:00)
Visit to the Chillida-Leku Museum in which the participants will be able to observe the importance of the space in which sculptures are placed.
Learning about the history of the Wind Comb through photos, plans, maps, as an example of the importance of the space in making and placing sculptures. Deciding where they would place a sculpture in their surroundings, town, village, district or in the museum. Written description of this space and production of a drawing of the place they have chosen, as a sketch of what the final piece of work will be.
2nd day (7th of August, from 16:00 to 19:00)
Deciding on and describing the sculpture that they would make for the place they have chosen and producing a drawing of this sculpture as a sketch of what the final piece of work will be.
Individual presentation to their colleagues of the drawings, the places and sculptures that they have chosen. Group decision on the sketch and idea that they will be putting into practice.
3rd day (8th of August, from 16:00 to 19:00)
Creation as a group of the 3D model of the space they have chosen and the scale-sculpture, depending on the model.
Placing the sculpture in the model.
Photographic documentation of the drawings and models, in order to make a book that they will take home together with the drawings they have done, as the models will form part of an exhibition at the museum.
